Vibration environment measurement results (KRICT — Research Building 10, 3rd floor)
Overview
Following installation of the vibration isolation platform, the vibration environment was measured to confirm there were no issues for equipment operation.
Measurement date: 10 September 2015 (Thursday). Engineer: Choi Sung-won, DAEIL SYSTEMS.
Measurement site: Electron Microscopy Laboratory, 3rd floor, Research Building 10, Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology.
Measurement conditions and results
Measurement conditions: The measurement locations are as indicated by the arrows in the figure below. The MB3000 top plate and the laboratory floor were each measured. Results are presented as VC-CLASS.
Measurement positions — floor (BASE) and isolator top (TOP)
Measurement result summary
| Test condition | Z | X | Y |
|---|---|---|---|
| Floor | C | E | E |
| Isolator top | F | F | F |
Overall, horizontal-axis floor vibration levels are low. For the vertical axis, floor vibration below 10 Hz is favorable; above 10 Hz the floor vibration level is somewhat elevated.
With the isolator applied, vibration levels on the isolator top plate are VC-class F in all directions, meeting the equipment allowable vibration level of VC-class E or better.
