
Overhead Shelf System
The Overhead Shelf System is designed to maximize laboratory workspace by providing an elevated platform for essential equipment such as power supplies, controllers, oscilloscopes, and computers. By moving these instruments off the main optical table, users can significantly increase their usable working area while maintaining convenient access to their tools.
Optimized Workspace & Ergonomics
The system is designed to provide increased table space by elevating bulky instrumentation off the main work surface. This allows for a convenient location of instruments, placing controls and displays within the user's line of sight and reach without cluttering the optical breadboard.
Adjustable and Flexible Storage
The shelf system includes hanging shelves for extra storage that are adjustable in height. This flexibility allows researchers to customize the shelf spacing to fit equipment of various sizes. Being a free-standing structure, it stands independently over the table, ensuring it does not physically contact or bridge the isolated table top.
Integrated Power Management
To reduce cable clutter, the shelf features grounded electrical outlets (110V/220V/60Hz) mounted on both sides of the top frame. This allows users to plug instruments directly into the shelf rather than running long cables to wall outlets. Additionally, it includes a No Fuse Breaker (N.F.B 30A) to protect connected instruments from current overload, adding an extra layer of safety for expensive lab equipment.
Flexible Positioning
Integrated casters on its base, maximizing mobility and allowing researchers to easily reposition the entire workstation for flexible lab reconfiguration without the need for heavy lifting.
Stability
The frame utilizes a formed steel welded design with a durable black powder coat finish, ensuring long-term durability in a lab environment. It is also equipped with leveling feet, allowing the shelf system to be installed securely and stably even on uneven laboratory floors.
