Kyeongin Ilbo, a regional daily serving Gyeonggi Province, featured DAEIL SYSTEMS in the second installment of its series on how provincial R&D support for small and medium manufacturers creates jobs. Reporter Min Jung-ju reported from the company's Yongin site.

The development project targeted a specific problem in semiconductor and flat panel display inspection equipment. Suppressing vibration aggressively tends to make the equipment base roll, so gains in isolation are paid for in settling time. DAEIL's answer combined feedforward control with voice coil motors and servo valves to counteract stage disturbance directly, cutting settling time to 0.2 seconds — roughly a tenth of what the previous generation required — while holding vibration transmission at 35 dB.

The work ran twelve months on a budget of about 200 million won, of which Gyeonggi Province contributed 111 million won. At the time of reporting the company employed 37 people on revenue of about 5.7 billion won, and expected the product to add headcount and lift revenue toward 6.2 billion won.
